Gems of Wisdom
- Start early! It may seem like there's more time for the project in 218C, but it creeps up on you!
- Keep all your tools/electrical components/etc. organized! A storage box for the molexes/wires/components helps a lot.
- Divide and conquer - we had one person on each microcontroller (E128, C32, and PIC) for the code and one person in charge on ROAMER design
- Test and integrate early so you can start soldering your boards early - breadboards are not reliable
- Test with other teams early and often - make sure you can communciate properly and you haven't flipped your directions somehow
- Make sure your mechanical design is robust
- Have electrical tape handy....always (and don't lose it)!
